Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where are you located?

I serve the greater Nashville area for in-person/on location shoots. I also serve national clients for in-studio work.

  • How much does a photo shoot cost?

Pricing is determined based on a client's individual needs. Reach out so we can discuss your project!

  • What's the turnaround time for receiving my finished photos?

This is really determined on the size of the project, but I do my best to get your edited photos back to you ASAP - usually within 7-10 business days.

  • What kind of businesses do you work with?

We specialize in photography for small businesses in the food, hospitality, maker, and creative industries. Our clients include restaurants, cookbook authors, recipe bloggers, food product companies, makers, and other culinary entrepreneurs.

  • How can great product photos improve my business?

Photos make a huge first impression to potential customers. Vibrant images related to your brand and offerings stand out, build connections, boost engagement across channels, and can increase sales.

  • What artistic enhancements do you provide images?

Along with optimizing light, angles and placement, I infuse images with movement, color, stylistic enhancements, and playful touches uniquely tailored to make your finished photos pop while still feeling true to your brand.

  • Do you have experience in the food industry?

Yes - I worked as a professional chef for over 10 years and have authored a cookbook. I understand all the challenges in capturing vibrant photos while also running kitchen operations.

  • Do you shoot and style on location?

Absolutely! As a former restaurant owner myself, I know how important shooting branded menu items on location can be. We're set up to photograph dishes, products, and full environments on site through small or full day shoots.

  • What does an average photoshoot look like?

For each client and project, we consult in depth beforehand to align our concepts and goals. At the shoot itself, we have fun exploring creative ways to showcase your offerings while efficiently getting all required shots. I direct posing, lighting, and composition leveraging all my experience to bring your vision alive.

  • What degree of artistic control will I have over images?

My priority is capturing gorgeous photos tailored specifically to my clients and what they want to achieve. We maintain an open dialogue about preferences and visions. You'll have opportunities to provide feedback and selection approval throughout the process.
